SkateBuddy respects and protects the privacy of every skater, coach and organization in our community. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the SkateBuddy mobile application and website.

SkateBuddy is a management platform for skating organizations: clubs and academies onboard and manage their members, list products and gear, publish training plans, and sell memberships and subscriptions that users can purchase in-app. This document explains what data we collect and how we handle it — in plain language.

• Account Information

  Name, email, phone number and profile details you provide when creating a member, coach or organization account.

• Membership & Organization Data

  The club or academy you belong to, membership tier, batch or class assignment, attendance and check-in records.

• Purchase & Subscription Data

  Plans and memberships you subscribe to, products and gear you order, order history, invoices and renewal status. Card details are handled directly by our payment processors — we never store full card numbers.

• User Content

  Session logs, progress notes, uploaded documents, reviews and support requests.

• Device & Usage Information

  Device type, app interactions, performance data, and crash logs.

• Optional Preferences

  Language, theme, and notification settings.

• Manage Memberships

  Enrol members, run batches, track attendance and keep organization records accurate.

• Process Purchases

  Fulfil product orders, activate plans, and handle subscription billing and renewals.

SkateBuddy is used by skating organizations that often enrol young skaters. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13 — junior member records are created and managed by a parent, guardian or the organization's authorized staff.

Parents and guardians should supervise usage where applicable. We comply with child privacy laws, including COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) where applicable.

• No Sale

  We never sell or rent user data to third parties.

• Your Organization

  If you join a club or academy, that organization's administrators can see your membership, attendance, plan and order details necessary to manage you as a member.

• Payment Processors

  Purchases of products, plans and subscriptions are handled by PCI-compliant payment gateways that process only the data needed to complete a transaction.

• Trusted Providers

  We share only with vetted partners for analytics, hosting and cloud services.

• Legal

  We share only when legally required by lawful authorities.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Member records, organization data and order history are stored securely with role-based access, and all data is protected using reasonable safeguards including encryption in transit. Payments are processed by PCI-compliant gateways.

We retain your data only while your account or membership remains active. Transaction, invoice and subscription records may be kept longer where tax and accounting law requires it. You can delete your account and personal data at any time from within the app or by contacting support.

We rely on trusted providers including cloud hosting, analytics tools, notification services and payment gateways such as Stripe and Razorpay to deliver a reliable experience. These third-party services maintain their own privacy policies which govern the data they process.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Users will be notified of updates through the app or website. Continued use of SkateBuddy after changes means acceptance of the revised policy.
